Who is Amaratas for?+
It is for parents and carers who want to preserve meaningful stories, familiar words and recordings for a child — whether they live together, travel for work or share family life across two homes.
How is this different from other AI kids' apps?+
Amaratas is not designed to become your child's new friend. Parents choose the prompts, create the memories and control the experience. The technology supports your relationship rather than trying to replace it.
How private are my recordings?+
Your recordings and stories are private to your family. We do not sell them or use them to train external AI models, and you can export your content whenever you wish.
Do I need a teddy bear?+
No. Amaratas works in the app on its own. The teddy is an optional keepsake for families who would like a more comforting way for their child to listen.
Can my child use it safely?+
The child experience is designed to be simple and age-appropriate. Parents control the memories and recordings available to their child, with safeguards built into the experience.
How much does it cost?+
Plus is £4.99 a month or £49 a year (about 18% less than paying monthly). You can also start free with limited prompts, voice clips and chats. See the pricing page for full details.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime, and your recordings stay safe with you.
Can I download what I create?+
Yes. Your memories belong to your family, and eligible plans let you export your content whenever you need it.
Where is my data stored?+
In a secure, encrypted cloud database, with photos and voice recordings kept in private storage that only your signed-in account can open. Card details are never stored by us — payments go through Stripe, and bear orders through Shopify.
How safe is my data?+
It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by row-level access rules so your account can only ever see your own family's records. Our hosting is GDPR-compliant with ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II certifications, and we run automated security scans.
How do I download all my data?+
Sign in, open the Grown-ups area, go to Controls, then Export, and press "Export all data". You'll get a single file with your profile, questionnaire answers, memories, voice recordings, conversations and messages.
